Clear and Invisible Braces

Sometimes adult and older teenagers are hesitant to get braces that are much-needed to revitalize a smile or straighten teeth. Usually because they see the only option for braces being the conventional wire and bracket braces. New technologies, however, have been developed using clear or invisible braces that can predict tooth movement and enable people who might not otherwise opt for braces to undergo the treatment with an alternative that is barely visible and esthetic. This can enhance self-esteem and physical confidence. Clear or invisible braces are recommended for treating teeth that are either very crowded or widely spaced apart, crooked teeth or teeth with an overbite or overjet. Complex bite problems and certain misalignment cases that are more severe require the treatment of more traditional orthodontics carmel valley.
Two types of clear and invisible braces are used in the application of cosmetic braces. The first is known as inside braces, which are braces that are attached to the back of the teeth and so become hidden from view. Custom brackets are attached to the insides of the upper teeth and sometimes to the lower teeth as well. They use computer technology to detect the movement of teeth and make the necessary corrections. The brackets are fixed and removable only by the dentist who put them in. Sometimes elastics are used with these braces to accelerate the treatment.
The other type of invisible braces del mar is known as a clear aligner. This brace is a set of removable aligners which are clear and provide a treatment which is almost free of all irritations and discomfort due to adjustment as the aligners are custom fit to one’s teeth. They are usually almost completely invisible, resistant to getting cloudy from water and other liquids and minimally invasive. There are no brackets, no wires that can get broken or poke into the sides of the mouth and can be removed for eating, drinking and special events and for brushing and flossing one’s teeth. Aligners are usually provided in sets to correct problems in certain parts of the mouth. Once the teeth have been re-aligned in that area; the next set is provided and so on, until the desired results are achieved
